ABOUT US

At Vorto Fitness, we offer a range of daily Functional Fitness group sessions aimed to help achieve your goals. Each class is tailored for all abilities, no matter where you’re starting on your personal fitness journey!

Our classes are programmed by our Functional Fitness affiliate ‘Off The Grid Training’. The programming is suited for all abilities, from elite level athletes to beginners. Our in-house coaches are here to help you every step of the way by supporting you through the function of daily group classes, aiming to help achieve your goals.

All of our sessions involve the best of cardio, strength training, skill work, gymnastics & endurance exercises to get you all round amazing results! These combined training methods are the important foundations to any ones fitness journey in functional fitness.

OUR CLASSES

WORKOUT OF THE DAY (WOD)

These sessions involve a mix of strength training, Olympic lifting, body-weight training, skill work and gymnastics. Our WOD sessions are our daily classes for everything Functional Fitness, with every session programmed uniquely. Any of these session’s can be tailored to your own ability, whether you’re completely new to the world of Functional Fitness or at a more experienced level, this will be the workout for you!

BARBELL CLASS

In these sessions we do 8 week block-cycles that focus on improving different aspects of Olympic weightlifting and barbell work. These sessions are suitable for all abilities, where each session is coached by our qualified British Weightlifting coaches (BWL). This class is designed to build confidence through improving your technique and form with all Olympic lifting styles.

BURN CLASS

These sessions are suitable for newer members and more focused on getting a sweat on and building your aerobic fitness! Sessions generally involve longer circuit sessions, focusing on body-weight exercises and are open to all abilities of fitness.

ENDURANCE

These sessions are longer high-intensity workouts. Endurance classes are circuit pieces for all abilities, but expect your cardio and physical endurance to be challenged!

OPEN GYM

We have a dedicated Open Gym space at Vorto Fitness. This space is ideal for those looking to perform independent programming around classes. NOTE: Open gym is available during all class hours.

BILLIE MARLOW

Our Vorto Fitness HEAD Coach, Billie Marlow! A solid rolemodel within the Functional Fitness industry, her reputation and expertise with competing at the highest levels in Cross Fit is admirable. Billie is your go-to for everything Functional Fitness related, from new beginners, to those looking to improve on their skills.

She also holds over 5 years of experience within the fitness industry, including both coaching and personal training. Billie is now the new head coach and owner at Vorto Fitness, and her vast experience and knowledge will certainly be able to help you with achieving your goals.

 

ALEX PARKES

  • Level 2 British Weightlifting

  • Basic Life Support Qualifcation

Our Vorto Fitness Barbell MASTER! Alex has a wealth of experience and expertise within the fitness industry, and is a serving member of the Army Reserve, after serving 11 years in the British Army. His role as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) in a team responsible for delivering all aspects of health and fitness to the Army Reserve soldiers, which compliments his broad knowledge of Olympic-weightlifting. Alex has since become an established leader of the British Army Weightlifting team and holds the accolade of team captain! He has a strong passion for Olympic-weightlifting and barbell work, and currently holds a level 2 British Weightlifting Coach qualification. He is your man for everything weightlifting!

 

AARON OBRIEN

Our Vorto Fitness OG! Aaron is a long time serving member of the team, and has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. He is a qualified level 3 personal trainer and fitness enthusiast, with a passion for helping others with their own fitness goals, specialising in helping people lose body fat and get stronger in the process. He is your go-to for anything Functional Fitness & Hyrox related!

 

JAMES BROWN

  • Level 1 CrossFit Trainer

  • Level 2 British Weightlifting

  • Emergency First Aid

Our resident CrossFit Games ATHLETE! James is our newest addition to the Vorto Fitness team, but is no stranger to the world of Functional Fitness! James has competed at the highest levels, which includes a podium silver medal at the CrossFit games within his category. James’ is excited to pass his experience on to our members, and his biggest ambition is to continue helping people overcome fitness goals that they never thought they would achieve!
